18th October 2023 - A masterclass workshop titled "The Power of Voice" with vocal impresario Nic Redman took centre stage at Moot Court from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, drawing in both budding and experienced podcasters and those wishing to learn more about voice control. It was a partnership event between Global Skills and LawPod. The event centered around the art and technique of voice for the podcasting medium alongside how to craft a compelling podcast intro.
Feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive. The students left feeling inspired and motivated, with many expressing eagerness to apply their newfound knowledge and skills in their podcasting ventures. The success of the event underscores the growing importance and popularity of podcasting in today's digital age and the benefit of students engaging in co-curricular activities alongside their degree pathways. The school has a range of co-curricular activities for Law Students alongside a huge selection of wider university opportunities through Clubs and Societies.
