QUB law students are invited to apply for the Carson McDowell Vacation Scheme, which will take place over two separate weeks in June 2025 (9th – 13th, and 23rd – 27th). Carson McDowell is a prominent law firm based in Northern Ireland, offering a wide range of legal services. Established in 1852, the firm specializes in areas such as finance, insolvency, clinical negligence, debt recovery, intellectual property, litigation, and procurement.

This scheme offers a unique opportunity for law students to gain valuable insights through a week-long placement in Carson McDowell's specialist and top-ranked practice areas. Participants will be guided and mentored by experienced lawyers, providing a genuine taste of working life at Carson McDowell.

From these applications, 20 candidates will be selected to attend one of two group assessment events. Ultimately, 10 students will be offered a place in this scheme; they will be provided with a £100 subsistence allowance, to cover lunches and travel costs for the week they are attending.
