Legal Insight for Students from leading commentator Joshua Rozenberg, KC (hon)

As law students, staying informed about current legal developments can significantly deepen your understanding of how the law operates in practice. To support this, we want to highlight particularly valuable resources from one of the UK’s leading legal commentators.

Joshua Rozenberg KC (hon) is Britain’s most experienced full-time legal commentator, known for his independence, authority and ability to explain complex legal issues with clarity and wit. A trained lawyer turned journalist, he is frequently called upon by broadcasters for expert analysis and is the only journalist ever appointed King’s Counsel honoris causa.

He is an honorary bencher of Gray’s Inn and served as a non-executive board member of the Law Commission from 2019 to 2024. He studied law at Oxford and qualified as a solicitor in 1976, though he has never practised and later removed his name from the roll to maintain his independence.
