New Legal Practitioner Recordings: hear from Queen’s Law Alumni making an impact

Hot off the press! The School of Law is delighted to release two brand-new additions to our Legal Practitioner recording series, featuring Queen’s Law alumni Enda McGarrity and Dr Tutu Ogle.

These recordings form part of our growing library of alumni career stories – designed to give current students a real insight into the many directions a law degree from Queen’s can take you. Through these conversations, alumni share their experiences of studying at Queen’s, their career journeys, and their advice for students preparing to enter the legal profession.

• Enda McGarrity (LLB Law, QUB) is now Director at P.A. Duffy & Co Solicitors, leading the firm’s Human Rights and Public Law department. Enda discusses his path from paralegal to solicitor, his work on major public inquiries including the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, and his passion for human rights, environmental justice, and advocacy for the vulnerable.
• Dr Tutu Ogle (PhD Environmental Engineering; Master's in Legal Science; IPLS – QUB) is Principal Legal Officer in the Departmental Solicitors' Office, Northern Ireland Civil Service. Tutu reflects on her unique academic and professional journey, her passion for mooting, and her experience working across litigation, family, and administrative law, before finding her niche in the public sector.

Both recordings offer valuable insights into career progression, the power of perseverance, and the diverse opportunities a law degree can open up.
